LOCAL OUTREACH PHASE (8 weeks) TACOMA, WA USA
In addition to the classroom setting, our school will also be engaging hands-on evangelism in the city of Tacoma. We have many local opportunities including work with “Sozo”, Gospel Events, juvenile justice work, late night programs and street evangelism. Students will also be trained to operate as prayer teams for various City Central ministry assignments. In this way students will be immediately living out what they are learning in the classroom.
INTERNATIONAL OUTREACH PHASE (4 weeks) CAMBODIA
The outreach phase of the Catalyst School is critical to engage with God’s heart for missions while providing the opportunity to go to the nations. This year the entire school will be spending 4 weeks on outreach in Cambodia. On outreach Catalyst students will continue to walk-out their training by sustaining a life of intimacy with and devotion to Christ while engaging a lost and dying generation with the hope of Jesus.
While in Cambodia we will be partnering with local pastors and churches to further the work of the gospel that is already happening in that beautiful nation. We will be getting a broad experience of the nation staying everywhere from the remote villages to capital city Phenom Phen. One of the larger events of the outreach will be hosting an equipping conference for local church leaders from all over the nation. This will be a time for local Cambodian believers to come and learn more about restoration and walk in a deeper freedom so as to more effectively live Christ in their nation. Catalyst students will be challenged to put into practice the truth’s that they have embraced in the area of restoration from the previous 8 weeks of the school. Following the equipping conference, we will be partnering with these same locals to put on an evangelism crusade in the capital city. Crusade evangelism is permitted by the nation with the proper permits which we will be acquiring.
Catalyst students can expect to be used on prayer teams, lead worship, share testimonies, help in acts of mercy and be used by God to touch the hearts of the beautiful people of Cambodia. Its going to be an amazing time and we are expectant to see God show up in a powerful way.
